Rubix VT in the community
From day one, at Rubix VT we have been active in supporting our local community. This has included raising money to help a young Brighton boy, Loui Legend, travel to America for vital surgery. Loui was born with Treacher-Collins Syndrome, a cruel condition which affects the development of the bones and other tissues of the face.
We have also been active in supporting established local charities including Chestnut Tree House and Rockinghorse Children's Charity and The Starr Trust.
In 2024, our Charity of the Year will be The Starr Trust again, and we are building a new relationship with the loneliness charity, Together Co.
The Rubix VT Brighton Half Marathon
We are proud to be the headline sponsor of the half marathon on 25th February 2024. As one of the first major half marathons in the running calendar, the event is now one of the most popular races in the UK.
The Rubix VT Brighton Half Marathon is the biggest annual fundraising event for The Sussex Beacon, supporting a specialist HIV care centre in Brighton.
The Big Hoot
Watch out for 30 arty owl sculptures nesting around Chichester and Arundel in summer 2024. Rubix VT is the headline sponsor for the fund-raising art trail. All of the large owls will be auctioned at the end of the trail to raise money for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
The Starr Trust
The Starr Trust's mission is to remove roadblocks for young people to help them succeed and thrive in whatever they put their minds to. They do this by supporting individuals and groups with financial grants, sharing connections and encouraging success.
Together Co
Together Co is a loneliness charity that creates connections to change lives. They do this through their befriending, social prescribing and volunteering services in Brighton and beyond. We are very pleased to donate our telephony services to the charity, and plan to be involved in many events in 2024.
Rockinghorse Children's Charity
Rockinghorse is a Brighton-based charity that has been supporting children in Sussex for over 50 years. They raise money to provide live-saving medical equipment and additional services with the aim of improving the lives of sick children throughout Sussex.
Oblong Trees
We have pledged to fund the planting of 240 trees for each employee over the next ten years. Oblong Trees organises the planting in the Uk and across the globe.
Living Wage - Brighton and Hove
Launched in 2012, the Brighton & Hove Living Wage Campaign aims to encourage local businesses to voluntarily pay all employees the real Living Wage instead of the government’s national minimum. Rubix VT believes the commitment to a living wage has never been more important. The cost of living is rising and people deserve to earn a fair wage.

Rubix VT has been named as a finalist in the Award for Community Contribution 2024. Open to businesses of all sizes, this award recognises an exceptional and sustained record of supporting the local community. The Gatwick Diamond Business Awards are highly respected in the region, so it is a great honour to be shortlisted.
